Mommy special Chilli Paneer

Chilly Paneer is a delicious combination of ethnic flavours from Indian and Chinese cuisine. The hot and spicy mouth-watering cuisine with a mommy special twist makes it impossible to resist.

Serves:- 6-8 servings


• Paneer (cubes)- 500gm
• Capsicum (sliced) - 250gm
• Onion (petals) - 500gm
• Coriander leaves - garnish
• Refined flour (maida) - 1tbsp
• Mustard Oil - 2tbsp


• Garlic (sliced) - 9 flakes
• Cinnamon stick - 1inch
• Green Cardamom - 2
• Clove - 2
• Fenugreek leaves (dried) - 1tsp
• Red Chilli Powder - 1tsp
• Cumin seeds - 1tsp
• Coriander Powder - 1tsp
• Meat Masala - 1tsp
• Salt - 1 1/2 tsp

Sauce for seasoning

• Soya Sauce - 1tsp
• Chilli sauce - 1tbsp


• Take a pan, add 2tbsp of mustard oil and heat it up.
• Now, take a bowl and prepare a batter with refined flour and water as needed.
• Once the oil turns hot, subsequently, add flour coated paneer cubes in it.
• Firstly, cook the paneer and then take it out once it is half fried.
• Now, add cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon stick, green cardamom, sliced garlic, onion petals, sliced capsicum, red chilli powder and salt in the same oil. Saute the mixture on a high flame and then close the lid to cook the mixture on a low flame.
• After five minutes, stir the mixture on high flame. Now put the half-fried paneer into the pan, mix it well and once again close the lid to cook it on the low flame.
• After another five minutes, repeat the process of cooking.
• Add soya sauce, chilli sauce, coriander powder, fenugreek seeds and meat masala after five minutes of cooking. Now cook the mixture on the high flame and later switch off the stove.
• Serve the mommy style chilli paneer and garnish with chopped coriander.
Serve hot and enjoy it with bread slices or chapatis for a full-fledged meal.
