‘Run for Yoga' held to ensure mass participation on International Yoga Day

KATHUA: The district administration today organized ‘Run for Yoga'- A Run for Fun activity emphasizing good attitude and sportsmanship besides sensitizing the populace and ensuring mass participation on International Yoga Day.

Deputy Commissioner, Ramesh Kumar, who was the chief guest on the occasion, flagged off the event in which apart from locals, youth, volunteers of various NGOs, members of Patanjali Yogpeeth, Art of Living, Religious institutions and Nehru Yuva Kendra participated.

The DC underlined the benefits of yoga and called for bringing communities together to spend a day for health from busy schedule on International Yoga Day. He further called for deserting unhealthy practices and promoting good habits for a healthy life.

Certificates were also given to the participants who completed the Run for Yoga which began from Ram Leela ground and culminated at sports stadium.

ADMO, ADC, DYSSO, District coordinator NYK and other district officers were present during the event.
