Exhibition, Nukkad Natak mark day-2 of Road Safety Week

KATHUA: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Ramesh Kumar today inaugurated two day exhibition on the theme "Your safety, secures your Family-Be cautious on road" organized by Regional Transport Office ,Kathua in collaboration with Private school association at Mukherjee Chowk Kathua.

The students of Learning Temple High School through various models displayed road safety rules and regulations, traffic signs and symbols, precautions to be taken on railway crossings, importance of wearing helmet and seat belt while driving two wheelers and four wheelers respectively. Nukkad Natak was also presented on the theme by the artist of Sargam Group.

In his address, DC appreciated the efforts of Motor Vehicle Department and the participants for creating awareness among general masses about road safety rules and regulations and also stressed upon the need of organizing more such awareness programmes on road safety.

RTO Kathua Amarjeet Singh in his address apprised general public about the road safety rules and the Guidelines issued by Supreme Court on "Good Samaritans".
Later, students of colleges comprising of NCC and NSS cadets along with the team of Motor Vehicle Department and Traffic Police sensitized people about road safety measures.

President Private Schools Association Sat Paul, President DGPC Charanjeet Singh Bhola, NCC/NSS Volunteers from College and people from all walks of life witnessed the Nukkad Natak and Exhibition.
