President inaugurates India International Trade Fair 2016

NEW DELHI : President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday inaugurated the India International Trade Fair, which is expected to witness participation from more than 27 countries. 
This year's theme is 'Digital India'. This year's edition of the mega trade fair, being held between November 14 - 27 will have over 7,000 participants. 
The partner country is South Korea and the focus country is Belarus. While, partner states are Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand while Haryana is participating as the focus state. 
Union IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar were also present. 
Speaking on the occasion, President Mukherjee said that IITF will reinforce India's brand to compete against dominant players at global level. 
President Mukherjee also said that India is working with United Nations at multilateral forum on number of issues and has legitimately staked its claim for United Security Council's permanent membership.
