KATHUA: SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) cell of Election Office Kathua today took a proactive step by organizing Kite Flying event across multiple locations in the district.

The aim of this initiative was to encourage voters to participate in the upcoming first phase of polling scheduled for April 19, 2024, for the Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency.

The event, meticulously planned and executed by district SVEEP cell, focused on engaging with voters, particularly first-time young voters, to emphasize the significance of exercising their voting rights in a democracy.

Voters, especially the youth, displayed enthusiastic participation in the Kite Flying activity, symbolizing their eagerness to contribute to the electoral process. As part of the engagement, participants wore special Wristbands bearing messages promoting voter awareness.

Additionally, informative pamphlets highlighting the importance of voting were distributed among the attendees, ensuring widespread dissemination of crucial information.

The event served as an effective platform to not only foster a sense of civic responsibility among voters but also to educate them about the electoral process and their role in shaping the future of the nation.
