UDHAMPUR: The District Administration Udhampur, in collaboration with the Department of Ayush and Department of Youth Services and Sports hosted ‘Yoga Shivar’ under SVEEP campaign at Subash Stadium here today.

District Election Officer (DEO), Saloni Rai; District Panchayat Officer (Nodal Officer SVEEP) and other officers, along with prominent citizens, actively participated in the Yoga Shivar programme.

While briefing the media, DEO highlighted that the main aim of the event was to enhance awareness and active public involvement in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024. She emphasized the importance of understanding the true value of vote to promote greater engagement in the electoral process.

Witnessing a significant turnout, community members enthusiastically participated in the event and practiced Yoga Asanas.

Through a series of yoga practices and exercises, attendees were not only encouraged to adopt healthier lifestyles but also educated on the importance of their active participation in the democratic process.
