UDHAMPUR: Congress candidate from Kathua-Udhampur-Doda constituency and former MP, Ch Lal Singh on Thursday said that hilly and far-flung areas have remained neglected during BJP rule in the Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing public rallies in the far-flung and inaccessible areas of Moungri, Pancheri, Landar, Badota, Latti, Duddu and Lower Punara (Basantgarh) areas of Udhampur district Ch Lal Singh lambasted the present regime, both in the JKUT and the Centre for their totally undemocratic and dictatorial attitude towards the general public.

Congress candidate said that it speaks about the level of frustration of the BJP leaders that they have accepted their defeat because of inability to live up to the expectations of the general public.

He said the fear of losing elections is so much that the entire top-brass of BJP leadership including Prime Minister, Chief Minister of UP, Aditya Nath Yogi and even Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh have been requested to come to J&K for poll campaign by the BJP leaders.

He alleged that BJP only exploited the religious sentiments of the people for the vote bank and diverted attention of the people from the basic issues like unemployment, inflation, development deficit. He claimed that Congress believes in the secularism and brotherhood among all the communities. Moreover, BJP has damaged the communal harmony and democratic values in the country. The people have decided to punish BJP during these elections.

Lal Singh claimed that if voted to power, he will undo all the injustices done to the common masses and restore the lost dignity of every voter in J&K. He urged the people to vote in favour of the Congress party and give a befitting reply to the deceit of the BJP leadership.
