UDHAMPUR: To enhance the electoral awareness and participation in the forthcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024 in the district, SVEEP cycle rally was organised by District Administration Udhampur in collaboration with UB Cyclist here under the supervision of District Election Officer, Saloni Rai.

The cyclist rally was flagged off by ADDC Rajinder Singh in presence of ADC Joginder Singh Jasrotia, Deputy District Election officer, Dr Anirudh Rai, Assistant Commissioner Development, Dr Ranjeet Singh Kotwal, District Nodal Officer SVEEP, Dr Preeti Sharma and other officers from DC Office Complex Udhampur in which more than 100 UB cyclist and students participated.

While briefing the media persons, the ADDC and ADC emphasised to ensure that every eligible voter is equipped with knowledge and motivation to exercise their democratic right.

They added that a single vote can be deciding factor in determining the outcome of an election and urged the general public to use their right to vote and fulfill their civic duty.

They exhorted upon the participants to act as ambassadors and disseminate the message of importance of electoral participation for stronger and participative democracy.
