UDHAMPUR: General Observer for 4-Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency, Dheeraj Kumar and Police Observer, Daljit Singh, undertook a comprehensive tour of the Chenani, Sudh Mahadev, Latti and Dudu Basantgarh areas to evaluate the facilities of polling stations and intermediate strong rooms in Basantgarh.

During the tour, he was accompanied by Sub Divisional Magistrate Ramnagar Rafiq Ahmad Jaral, SDM Dudu Dr. Manmeet Kumar, SDM Chenani Gurdev and other officers.

En route, the General Observer inspected several polling stations and intermediate strong rooms in Dudu and surrounding areas, assessing facilities available. He reviewed the security arrangements for the intermediate strong room and instructed sector and zonal magistrates to map all the polling stations in the area. He directed the concerned authorities to prepare detailed contingency and transport plans and ensure security for the intermediate strong room.

The visit aimed to evaluate the preparedness of the polling stations and address any potential challenges well in advance.

He also inspected the availability of amenities such as water, electricity and other basic facilities, directing all concerned parties to maintain vigilance and promptly address any issues related to basic amenities at polling stations.
