RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat today chaired the District Road Safety Committee (DRSC) meeting to review measures taken to bring down road mishaps in the district.

At the outset, District Rollout Manager i-RAD/e-DAR, Pankaj Sabharwal explained the intricate landscape of road safety through a meticulous presentation on the Integrated Road Accident Database (i-RAD). He shed light on proactive measures aimed at significantly diminishing road mishaps in the district.

He also presented a detailed accident report as per the classification of the road from the dash board of i-RAD besides giving details of the month wise mishaps which have been uploaded onto the i-RAD platform for comprehensive analysis and action.

The committee extensively discussed awareness campaigns, identification of black spots, and installation of crash barriers, among other crucial measures aimed at bolstering road safety.
