Mera Pehla Vote Desh ke Liye Campaign Starts at CUJ

JAMMU: The Department of Educational Studies, Central University of Jammu, in collaboration with the Office of the Dean of Students' Welfare (DSW), organized an event titled "Mera Pehla Vote Desh ke Liye".

The event aimed to encourage awareness and active participation among the youth in the democratic process of voting, utilizing both conventional and innovative methods.

Dr. Jai Bhawani Singh, Faculty, Department of Public Policy and Public Administration, was a key speaker on the occasion.

He highlighted the significance of youths' engagement in elections and the pivotal role of every vote in shaping the nation's future. Dr. Singh also appealed to first-time voters to cast their vote in the broader national interest beyond the lines of caste, class, region, and religion.

Prof. Asit Mantry, Head, Department of Educational Studies, Central University of Jammu encourage the students in thought-provoking discussions on democratic values and emphasized the power of informed decision-making and the responsibility that comes with voting rights.

Prof. Mantry further stated that, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Jammu Prof. Sanjeev Jain, is highly committed to promoting thought-provoking nationalistic values which serve as a compelling medium to convey the essence of democratic principles.

The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Ritu Bakshi, Dean of Students' Welfare. Dr. Kiran, Dr Aman, Dr. Yad Ram, Arvind, Dr Aarushi, Dr Anil, research scholars, and students were also present at the event.
