Grand ‘Rath Yatra’ by Dharmarth Trust on Ram Navmi

JAMMU: J&K Dharmarth Trust is going to organize a grand Rath Yatra on March 30, 2023 to mark Ram Navmi celebrations.

In a press conference here Ranvijay Singh, Trustee of Dharmarth Trust informed that the Trust is going to hold the grand Rath Yatra with traditional zeal and enthusiasm.

"The Sobha Yatra shall be conducted in collaboration with Sanatan Dharm Sabha and Dharmik Yuvak Mandal," he further said.

Ranvijay said that the Shobha Yatra will cover the traditional route this year commencing from historical Shri Raghunath Ji Temple and after passing through various markets including Residency Road, Rajinder Bazaar, Kanak Mandi, City Chowk, Purani Mandi, Link Road, Jain Bazaar, Chowk Chabutra, Pacca Danga, Moti Bazaar, Raj Tilak Road, Old Hospital Road and Raghunath Bazaar, it will finally culminate at Shri Raghunath Ji Temple.

"On March 30, 2023 at 4:30 PM, the Murti Poojan ceremony will be performed in the premises of Shri Raghunath Ji Temple and this will follow Rath Poojan and Dhwajharohan ceremony. After that the Rath Yatra will start from Shri Raghunath Ji Temple," he maintained adding: "Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Mayor Jammu, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, ADGP Jammu and several other dignitaries are invited to participate in the Rath Yatra."

The Trustee appealed to the people of J&K to join the celebrations in large number as these auspicious occasions are significant and give opportunity to people to know their rich culture and strong roots.

Among those who were present in the press conference were Ajay Gandotra, Trust president; Ashok Kumar Sharma, secretary; Varinder Singh Jamwal, additional secretary; Parshotam Kumar Dadhichi, president Sanatan Dharam Sabha J&K; Anil Sharma, president Dharmik Yuvak Mandal; Prabhat Singh Jamwal, general secretary Sanatan Dharam Sabha J&K and Gopal Sharma, general secretary Dharmik Yuvak Mandal.
