POONCH: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Poonch launched 24×7 helpline number for women to register complaint, anti- drug help line number for information of narcotics related matter and assured to take prompt action accordingly.

Senior Superintendent of Police Poonch, ASP along with many other Police officers were present on the occasion at Women Cell, Poonch.

SSP Poonch, Rohit Baskotra said that Women Cell Poonch has received 2500 different complaints this year, in which 97% were disposed off through settlement with families, while 80 FIRs were registered in other cases, some of which are under investigation and challan of many cases have been produced before court, while 52 FIRs have been registered in NDPS cases this year.

"We have launched a 24×7 helpline number for women (8082341436) and anti- drug helpline number (9622003495), pamphlets will be pasted everywhere, so that if any woman faces problem she can contact on the given number, and people can give the information about narcotics related matter. I assure that action into the matter will be taken accordingly after noting down complaint", he added.
