Panchayat level Grievance Redressal camps held in different parts of the District

KISHTWAR: To listen to the grievances of people at their doorsteps and to ensure on the spot redress of their developmental issues, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav today presided over the Public Grievance Redressal Camp at Gulab Garh of Paddar Sub Division under the aegis of Weekly Block Diwas.

The programme witnessed participation of a large number of people from Panchayat Gulab Garh and adjoining areas.

Among others the Public Grievance Redressal Camp was attended by BDC Chairman Paddar, Arpan Singh Rana; DDC member Paddar, Hari Krishan Chauhan; ACD Kishtwar, Atul Dutt Sharma; DPO, Sunil Bhutyal; District Social Welfare Officer, Zubair Ahmed; CMO, Dr Chander Prakash; ALC/AD DE&CC, Amit Kumar; Nodal officer AYUSH, Dr Vikram Gupta; Tehsildar Atholi, Satish Kumar Rana; BDO, Anjil Singh and other Zonal and Sectoral Officers of the Sub Division.

During the Grievance Redressal Camp, public delegations and other individuals projected several regarding development. They sought up-gradation of local infrastructure in Health and Education, RDD sector besides Road connectivity, uninterrupted Water & Power Supply and expediting the Public Deliverance Mechanism.

After giving patient hearing to the grievances and demands of the public, the DC sought on the spot response from the concerned District Officers regarding the demands projected by the locals.

He also assured the people that all genuine demands and issues projected by them will be looked into on priority for speedy redressal.

The Deputy Commissioner also enlightened the participants about the golden opportunity for students to avail the free subscription of Online BYJU'S teaching courses offered by District Administration in collaboration with BYJU'S EduTech for all students of the District.

Besides, the DC urged the local youth to come forward and avail the benefits of different schemes of the Government launched for providing handholding to the unemployed youth so that they can earn livelihood with dignity and honour.

The DC also directed for holding a joint special awareness cum registration camp to sensitize people about the various schemes.

Meanwhile Assistant Labour Commissioner, Amit Kumar, informed the public regarding various schemes of JKBOCWWB, including the process of registration and renewal of Labour cards. Besides this, as AD, Career Counseling & Employment Department, he deliberated about different schemes implemented by DIC and DE&CC in the District for providing self-employment avenues to unemployed youth.

He informed that ALC Office and DE&CC office, in collaboration with BDO Paddar was soon going to organise a joint camp for the fresh registration and renewal of labour cards and spreading awareness about Mission Youth Schemes for providing self-employment opportunities to the Unemployed Youth.

The line departments also installed stalls to display the beneficiary schemes of their departments in the camp. The AYUSH Department distributed free Ayush medicines among the people.

Meanwhile, the DC Kishtwar also distributed prosthetic aids provided by the Social Welfare Department among the PwDs.

The people of the area thanked the Deputy Commissioner for regularly conducting Block Diwas in Paddar Sub Division and bringing Administration at the doorsteps of the people for on the spot redress of their grievances and issues.

The DC also inaugurated Hakoo-Palali road constructed under MGNREGA/DDC grant in presence of BDC Chairman and DDC member Paddar, local Sarpanch and other District and sectoral officers.

Similarly, Pachayat level Grievance redressal camps were held at various Panchayats across District Kishtwar.

BDC Thakraie, Kishori Lal Shan, along with BDO Tasleem Wani held a Panchayat level grievance redressal camp at Pyt Filler A & Filler B in which PRIs & officials from various Departments also participated.

They also inspected ongoing developmental works of Block Thakraie.
