GDC Ramgarh organises series of activities under 'My College My Pride & My Town My Pride'

SAMBA: Government Degree College Ramgarh organized a series of activities under the aegis of ‘My College My Pride' and ‘My Town My Pride' today.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit ‘Prabha', College Beautification Committee (CBC), Red Ribbon Club (RRC) and Eco Club (EC) of the College carried out the designated activities, viz., making of new flower beds in college premises, a slogan-writing competition on the theme ‘My College My Pride', Plantation of marigold plants in the flower bed. The activities were organized under the leadership and supervision of the Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Satinder Kaur.

The new flower beds were laid at the designated sites in the College premises by cleaning the area and the surroundings. In the coming days of this month, new plants, especially herbal plants, will be planted.

The event was organized by Dr. Aditi Khajuria of the Department of English and Amarjyot Kour of the Department of Computer Applications.

A total of eight students of the College participated in the competition. The first position was secured by Priyanka, the second position was secured by Sunaina Devi, and the third position was secured by Shivani Devi. The competition was judged by Prof. Seema Sharma of Department of Education, Dr. Sandeep Kumar of Department of Statistics, and Prof. Risha Kumari of Department of Punjabi.

The Eco-Club & RRC organized Plantation of marigold plants in the designated site and planted the marigold plant in the new flower bed. Such activities will enhance the beauty of the College and will make the College ambience good and cheerful.
