GDC Ramban hosts inter college competitions to mark Gandhi Jayanti

RAMBAN: As part of the ongoing Gandhi Jayanti celebrations, the Government Degree College (GDC), Ramban organized a district level inter-College competitions in collaboration with the NSS Unit and Psychological Counselling Cell of the College under the aegis of the Principal, Subhash Chander Sharma.

The competition was organized in three categories.

First competition was a declamation on 'Relevance of Gandhian Philosophy in the Contemporary Times'; second was an on-spot Painting/Poster making competition on 'Life Sketch of Mahatma Gandhi,Dandi March and Quit India Movement' and third one was a Quiz on Life and Philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi.

Professor, S.A Ganai, PTI, Deepak Kumar and Prof. Aashiq Ahmed Parray alongwith their students represented the GDCs of Gool, Banihal and Batote respectively.

In the first competition, Rajni Chib of GDC, Ramban, Mehrooka Tabassum of GDC, Gool and Mubashir Ahmed of GDC, Banihal stood first, second and third respectively.

In the second competition, Mehwish of GDC,Batote,Snober Wani of GDC,Banihal and Kazima Farid of DDC,Gool stood first, second and third respectively.

In the third competition, Danish Rafiq of GDC, Banihal,Ravinder Singh of GDC,Ramban and Shugafta Afreen of GDC,Gool stood first, second and third respectively.

Earlier, the details of the activities of the competitions were conveyed to the Principals of Degree Colleges of Batote,Banihal,Gool and Ukhral.
