'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' celebrated by Doon International School

JAMMU: Doon International School celebrated Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with great zeal and fervour. A number of activities were organised to mark the occasion of 75 years of Indian Independence.

Students presented a vibrant cultural program performing patriotic songs, poems, speeches and splendid dance performances to enthral the atmosphere with patriotic enthusiasm.

The highlight of the day was a scintillating skit presented by the students of junior classes depicting the glory of Indian Independence . The performances were so original that it left the audience spellbound. The entire ambience was exceptionally impactful enhancing the patriotic aura as children were dressed up in tricolour and were raising Tiranga high with the slogans of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai ".

The Principal Dr. Vikesh Kaur applauded the students for their heart-touching performances and focused upon the need for global peace, unity and brotherhood. She further congratulated the students and the staff on the celebration of 75 years of Independence and delebrated that this glorious Independence is precious for all of us and we all need to protect it as well as contribute in abundance to make our country proud through our own potential and capabilities.

The Chairman of the school G.N Tantray also congratulated the entire DIS Fraternity and encouraged them to work hard towards the progress and prosperity of the motherland.
