GDC Ukhral hosts series of events to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

RAMBAN: Government Degree College Ukhral, in collaboration with RR Unit Ukhral of Indian Army, organised a series of events to commemorate the 75th Year of Indian Independence under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

In the first event a patriotic film i.e "Border" was screened for the students of the College with the aim to inculcate the value and spirit of Indian Nationalism and Patriotism.

Around 150 students participated and watched this patriotic film. Principal of the College Prof. (Dr.) Ranvijay Singh, in his inaugural address, exhorted the students to develop a sense of patriotism and belonging towards the Nation.

In another event, "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign under "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav" was organised in the main Market of Ukhral to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of independence. The idea behind the initiative was to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of people and to promote the awareness about the importance and value of the Indian National Flag.

NSS Unit of GDC Ukhral distributed National Flags amongst the students of the college.

Principal of the college Prof (Dr) Ranvijay Singh apprised the students about the importance of Indian National Flag and motivated them to inculcate the feeling of Patriotism and Nationalism.

All faculty members of the college also actively participated in the program and joined around 170 students in the Tringha Rally.
