Five days Skating Coaching Camp concludes

JAMMU: Five days Roller Skating coaching camp organised by parents in association with Sports Council concluded at MA Stadium here today.

Divisional Sports Officer Jammu Ashok Singh was the chief guest. He was accompanied by the managers and coaches of the sports council.

Around 30 boys and girls of different age groups from different districts took part in the special camp.

Speaking on the occasion, the DSO said that sports help us to learn many new things in life. Sports build good discipline and assist us in building confidence, develop our personalities and maintain mental and physical balance in life. Sports and games help us to tackle and overcome difficult situations in life and keep the body and mind stress-free, he asserted.

Ratnesh Puri, the father of skaters along with other parents applauded the efforts of Sports Council officials for wholehearted cooperation and coordination during the coaching camp.

Arjun Gandotra, international skater and Asian Bronze medalist from J&K thanked J&K in large and Sports Council in particular for providing a high grade Skating Rink 1st time in Jammu. He said that the upgraded facility will definitely improve the medals' tally of the UT of J&K in future.
