SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Vikar Rasool Wani stated has that the INDIA bloc will emerge victorious in all six Lok Sabha constituencies in J&K and Ladakh.

Addressing a press conference, Wani reiterated his earlier prediction made before the commencement of the Lok Sabha elections, wherein he had stated that the alliance would win all the seats.

"You will see in June, we will win two seats in Jammu, three in Kashmir because here, we are supporting NC and they will win, and one in Ladakh," he said.

The JKPCC President stated that A, B, C, and D teams along with BJP, want deferment of the elections in the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha constituency, noting that they are coming up with new plans and strategies.

"They have written to the ECI, and that letter bears the signatures of Peoples Conference, Apni Party, along with DPAP's Advocate Saleem Parray; they are all teams of BJP. Why are they seeking deferment? What about Marwa Dachan where they ensured elections during Ramadan?" he questioned.

He said that the BJP and its teams will face the consequences of their actions and "won't be left in a position to contest elections. They can clearly see defeat, and now they are coming up with a new strategy."

Wani added: "They kept Jammu Hindu-dominated, but they are still facing defeat. Whatever they do, they are set to face defeat in all six LS constituencies."

He stated that the people are fed up with unemployment, smart meters, and the suspension of the democratic system, noting that they will face the wrath of the people.

"I have assessed the situation on the ground; deep down, people are weary of the issues they are facing; even the employees are disheartened by their circumstances. Our educated youth, especially, are facing challenges; teacher posts were advertised as far back as 2012, yet there has been no recruitment; what good are their degrees?" Wani said.

On the Ramban incident where the land caved in at Pranod Khalwa, damaging nearly 30 residential houses, he demanded the immediate relocation of the affected families to a better place and their immediate rehabilitation.

"An entire square kilometer area has caved in. The area has been destroyed, with 30 houses fully damaged; the families have been shifted to the local Panchayat Ghar. How are they going to live there?" he asked.

He demanded that the disaster management fund must be utilized, noting that earlier in Sangaldan, a similar incident was reported, "but the authorities did nothing, and the affected families were given cloth tents and clothes, and then no one took note of their plight."

Wani said that the authorities must ensure that the families in the Panchayat Ghar are shifted to some other place because there is a space crunch.

"They should be shifted to a better place. And they should be given the land. They should be given funds for the construction of the houses," he demanded.
