DPS Jammu bids farewell to outgoing students of class XII

JAMMU: Delhi Public School Jammu organized a Farewell and Blessing ceremony "Bazm-E-Rukhsat" for the outgoing batch of class XII.

The students of the outgoing batch 2022-23 were welcomed with the traditional Tilak Ceremony by the students of class XI.

Devoting the day to the years spent together with friends, teachers and reminiscences of joyous moments, a soulful welcome song was presented by a group of students led by Ridhima Bajpai.

This was followed by DPS Titles Round, wherein around 20 students contested for the different coveted titles in three competitive rounds.

The students created memories by clicking pictures on handmade selfie booths designed and created by art faculty of the school and also enjoyed the DJ party followed by sumptuous lunch.

A soulful musical mashup of Bollywood songs was presented by Super 12 singers of class XI. This was followed by Round-2 wherein 12 selected students headed for the Display Your Talent round and exhibited their best in the form of singing, dancing, slam poetry, stand-up comedy, etc.

The students of class XI also performed beautifully on the beats of Bhangra and Bollywood classics. Harshit Mengi of class XI gave a thrill to every heart by performing his original Rap Beat song.

This was followed by the final round of DPS Titles - The Questionnaire Round. The expert panel of Judges put up a question to the top 10 finalists to which the students answered confidently.

The much-awaited moment was the declaration of the results by the Judges. The Titles of Mr. Talent and Ms. Talent were bagged by Zaigham Salaria and Manya Sharma, whereas Kamesh Singh and Vanya Suri were crowned as Mr. Versatile and Ms. Versatile.

The title of Mr. Farewell was bagged by Jahaandeep Singh, while Adishiri Abrol bagged the title of Ms. Farewell. Most important of all, Aashna Mahajan was crowned as Ms. DPS-2022-23 and Pranvanshulendraditya Kapoor won the title of Mr. DPS 2022-23.

The DPS title round was judged by an expert panel of three Judges Rimpi Sharma, Preeti Abrol & Kamini Sawhney.

Principal-DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra warmly greeted the children and conveyed blessings on behalf of the esteemed school management DPS Jammu.

She urged them to carry forward the torch of enlightenment, live up to the school motto 'Service Before Self' and also wished all students good luck for their upcoming board examination.

Headmistress Meenu Gupta, Sr. Manager (Operations) Karandeep Singh, Chief Accounts Officer. R.C Gupta, Dy. Headmaster Umesh Kumar Sharma, Dy. Headmistress Rimpi Sharma, Tpt. Administrator M.L Mehra, other dignitaries and staff members also graced the occasion with their presence.
The vote of thanks was presented by Atharv Jaggi and Ridhima Bajpai.

The event was compared by Aakash Sharma, Sheen Wanchoo, Samiyaa Sharma and Hari Har Sharma of class XI.

President-RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh, PVC, Dr. Kuwarani Ritu Singh and Director, S.S Sodhi also conveyed their best wishes to all the students of class XII for their upcoming Board Examination and wished them a bright future ahead.
