CHC, TLSA Katra commemorate International Day of Persons with Disability

REASI: A programme to celebrate the International Day of persons with disability was held today at Community Health Centre Katra, in collaboration with the Tehsil Legal Services Authority.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Gopal Dutt elaborated in detail how well being of persons with disabilities at every level should be taken care of by the society in order to help them in every situation of social, political, economic and cultural life.

Dr. Sumera, Dr. Midhat, Dr. Mehak and Dr. Tejwinder Singh MLHPs from different Health and Wellness centres of block Katra discussed in detail the measures taken to remove hindrances/barriers faced by persons with disabilities so that they can participate fully, equally and effectively in achieving global development with others at equal footings.

Adv. Rajkumar, representative from Tehsil Legal Services Authority Katra threw light on different types of assistance schemes of Legal Services Authority available free of cost for PwDs.

The programme was attended by Officers/Officials of Health Block Katra, visitors and patients with great zeal.
