VC JU chairs Meeting of Principals of Degree Colleges

JAMMU: Prof Umesh Rai, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu chaired a meeting of the Principals of all the Degree Colleges affiliated to the University wherein the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP-2020) was discussed in detail.

The various queries of the principals were discussed and the University assured full cooperation for redressal of any difficulties faced by the Colleges.

It was unanimously resolved that for the benefit of the students, the NEP-2020 shall be implemented from the current Academic session 2022-23.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Rai said that the University will request the Higher Education Department for the fulfilment of the faculty/infrastructural deficiencies of the Colleges so that the NEP can be implemented in letter and spirit.

He further assured that University will do handholding of the affiliated Colleges for the effective implementation of NEP-2020 from the current Academic session.

Earlier, Prof Naresh Padha, Dean Academic Affairs, University of Jammu welcomed the house and Dr. Sumita Sharma, Deputy Registrar (Academic/Academic Affairs) delivered a vote of thanks.

Besides others, the meeting was attended by the Director, CDC, Prof. Rajeev Rattan, Controller of Examinations, Sanjeev Mahajan, Prof. Renu Nanda, Convener NEP Cell and other officials of the University.
