Hizbul puts out new poster of militants without Burhan Wani; pledges to continue 'Azadi' struggle

SRINAGAR: The Burhan Muzaffar Wani may be no more but his legacy continues in Kashmir. Hizbul Mujhadeen has put out its first posters of militants in south Kashmir minus Burhan and pledged to continue their struggle for 'azadi' in Kashmir.

A black and white poster of the Hizbul with a picture of 11 militants superimposed on it was put up in the Shopian district of south Kashmir. The poster has the logo of the outfit on the top and a Urdu couplet at the bottom.

"Hum jang ye jari rakhange, kafir ko hum lalkarai gange... Hum le ke rahenge haq hamara, dunya ko bata kar dam le gange (We will continue our fight and challenge the pagan...We will show the world that we will not rest until we get our right)," reads the couplet.

The poster has surfaced at a time when union home minister Rajnath Singh is arriving in the state to defuse tension and help in bringing peace to the valley which has been simmering since July 9, a day after Burhan was killed along with two of his associates at Bamdoora village of Kokarnag in south Kashmir.
