KATHUA: Chief Accounts Officer Directorate of School Education Jammu Monika Bhandari today visited Kathua and held threadbare discussion with stakeholders regarding formulation of RE 2024-25 and BE 2025-26, besides financial codes related to making budget exercise easy and effective.

She addressed certain critical issues on the spot and cleared doubts raised by the DDOs. She was accompanied by AAO DSEJ Jugal Kumar.

At the outset, the Chief Education officer Kishore Kumar welcomed the guest with a bouquet of flowers and requested her to enlighten the august officers regarding financial management of institutions.

The chief guest not only very eloquently elaborated on various points of financial matters, but also held an interaction session with all DDOs.

The one-to-one discussion took quite a good time to make the whole session fruitful.

In her address, she emphasized on better management and timely and judicial expenditure of funds released to them. She also stressed to make purchases whenever required only from the Government e Marketplace (GeM). She elaborated on various rules to be kept in mind while placing orders on GeM and cautioned against any irregularity on the part of DDOs while purchasing goods on GeM.

The officers present expressed satisfaction over the session held and added that many of their doubts regarding the financial management of institutions have been cleared.

All members of the District budget team including Satender Singh Pathania (District Budget Master), Sohan Lal Sharma, Suresh Sharma, Sandeep Kumar, Deepak Singh, Susheel Kumar, Naveen Sharma, Dayal Singh and Raman Kant were present on the occasion.
